Antilla Trotter III ("A.T.") is an attorney, former Capitol Hill staffer, government affairs professional and fundraiser. His diverse background spans law, lobbying, political campaigns and media.
A native of St. Louis, Missouri, he worked for the United States Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation focusing on passage of landmark legislation and oversight of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).
After leaving Capitol Hill, Mr. Trotter joined a telecommunications startup negotiating business contracts. He was then recruited to join a Washington, D.C. law firm where he served as an attorney and lobbyist responsible for counseling and providing strategic advice and government relations services to multiple clients ranging from nonprofits and trade associations to Fortune 500 companies. His portfolio covered a broad array of issue areas including health care, telecommunications, and transportation.
Mr. Trotter is an active member in good standing of the District of Columbia Bar Association, a member of the Maryland Government Relations Association (MGRA), the National Institute for Lobbying and Ethics (NILE) and, among other acknowledgements, was chosen as one of the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies inaugural “Power 40.”
Mr. Trotter has been featured in the National Journal and other publications and has organized dozens of networking, charitable and political fundraising events for more than two decades. As a long-time fundraiser and campaign volunteer he has supported multiple Maryland, Virginia, D.C., and Federal campaigns. Most recently, Mr. Trotter served on the Lawyers for Biden team in the 2020 Biden-Harris campaign; the 2012 and 2008 Obama-Biden and Obama for America campaigns; and the 2013 & 2009 Presidential Inaugural Committees.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Antilla enjoyed a successful career in broadcasting. In the Washington, D.C. market he was integral to bringing popular D.C. radio station WDJY-FM to the #1 ranking serving as the station’s Production Manager. He also served on air and in the Programming department at WHUT-TV (formerly WHMM-TV), and, as an on-air personality at WHUR-FM for over a dozen years, including as a host of the world-renowned and #1 rated Original Quiet Storm as well as the #1 rated Sunday Morning Gospel.
